Kirby Risk Mechanical Solutions and Service has an excellent opportunity for a Winder in Lafayette, IN.
What will I do as a Winder?
- Get on the job training to test, troubleshoot, and replace electric motor windings
- Take accurate measurements and document all relative data to produce and reinstall new wire coils and insulation systems
- Perform testing to confirm the winding has been properly installed
- Perform minor disassembly and reassembly as required.
- Perform welding, brazing, and precision soldering as required

- High school diploma, GED, Trade School coursework or equivalent work experience
- Previous mechanical/electrical experience is preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and retain various skills
- A solid desire to continuously learn
What are some of the Physical Requirements?
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Use hands repetitively to operate equipment and perform all winding installation processes
- Operate hoists and fork truck as required
What is the schedule?
- 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday thru Friday with On Call Rotation Mandatory
Valid Driver’s license required
