Summary
The Inventory Control Manager leads and executes on the facility’s inventory needs including supply chain purchasing, receiving, product packaging, and order fulfillment. This position drives the facility’s inventory program and ensures product orders are fulfilled accurately and timely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops an inventory tracking system to record receiving shipments and purchase operational supplies.
- Builds and manages a team of inventory professionals including receiving, purchasing, fulfillment and transport drivers.
- Performs regular inventory cycle counts on supplies and finished product with analysis and reconciliation completed.
- Conducts daily and weekly inventory audits matching physical inventory to internal tracking, METRC and Leaf Link systems inventory.
- Collaborates with operations teams to ensure weekly stock is available, organized and updated.
- Oversees internal inventory transfers to verify quality control, regulatory compliance, and physical counts.
- Learns and maintains continual awareness and understanding of the state’s medical marijuana rules and regulations.
- Creates order fulfillment process to accept, schedule, pack, and stage orders for delivery.
- Works with sales team on all incoming and outgoing orders to ensure flawless execution.
- Oversees inventory meetings to ensure packaging supplies and finished product will consistently meet customer demand.
- Works with accounts payable and compliance on any invoicing or order issues that may require research and investigation.
- Oversees all aspects of product packaging inventory including the execution of ordering, auditing, and forecasting.
- Reduces loss through efficient ordering and identification of waste.
- Trains existing and new employees to perform essential job functions.
- Manages time and attendance and performance of employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check
- Must be able to communicate with the Team effectively and professionally
- Capable of working without supervision
- Understands compliance regulations and adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for specialized areas
- Ability to handle multiple projects & tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal communication skills are necessary
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Strong ethics and reliability
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Two to four years of experience
- Experience using data entry software (i.e., Excel) and comfortable learning and using new software
- Physical Requirements: The ability to lift fifty pounds regularly. The ability to respond quickly to sounds. The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces. The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations. The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day. The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time. The ability to complete fine motor functions. The ability to work in low light situations.
