Position Overview:
The Records Clerk will play a vital role in managing and maintaining our legal records. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of records experience, preferably within a corporate or legal environment. This role requires strong data entry skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience with scanning and digitization processes.
The Ideal candidate should have superior customer service skills and be adaptable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, organize, and maintain legal records and documents.
- Perform accurate data entry and ensure the integrity of records.
- Implement and manage scanning and digitization workflows.
- Conduct quality control checks on digitized documents.
- Generate and analyze reports, metrics, KPIs, and volumes.
- Retrieve documents for attorneys and staff as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all records.
- Utilize records management software such as LegalKey, FileTrail, iManage Records Manager, or similar systems.
- Collaborate with team members to support case preparation and management.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with firm policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of records experience required, preferably in a corporate or legal environment.
- Strong data entry and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with scanning and digitization processes and procedures, including creating workflows and quality control.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with reporting metrics, KPIs, and volumes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience with LegalKey, FileTrail, iManage Records Manager, or similar records management software preferred.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
