Dice.com is currently seeking a Desktop support Technician in the Purchase New York Area for one of our clients.

As a Desktop Support Technician, you will:
- Support the company
- Take 1st tier to 2nd tier support calls on a daily basis
- Support Windows /MS office 365 applications
- Be the Executive Concierge – supporting daily issues
- Build systems
- Break fix
- Configuration issues
- Windows Desktop and Server Management and Maintenance
- Backup/Recovery protocols and procedures on both Physical and Virtual Devices
- Active Server Directory
- Assisting in evaluating new technology with the ability to implement them.
- Be cool under pressure, with a "can do" attitude, while helping a variety of end users with different experience levels
- Be an analytical thinker, and good problem solver.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3 years of desktop support experience
- Solid understanding of MS Office 365 Suite of Products
- Candidate must be able to sit for long periods of time, as well as kneel, maneuver into tighter spaces to connect or disconnect both desktop, phones, and servers, and will periodically be required to do some heavier lifting, up to 60 pounds.
- Be able work on site daily
Preferred Qualifications:
- Data base support – Access or SQL server
- Familiar with VM Ware or Hyper-V
- Network support
- Backup and Automation
- Understanding of On Prem Vs Cloud portal environments
