About the Role:
Purpose: Develop and lead materials sourcing and development for trims and packaging for Eddie Bauer brand. Create and execute trims and packaging strategy to meet design vision, satisfy merchant requirements, and positively impact company financial goals. Responsible for R&D, development and commercialization of trims and packaging for all channels. The Sourcing Manager for trims and packaging will mentor and develop an assistant that reports into this role.

Core Position Responsibilities:
- Ownership of all trims and packaging lifecycle by managing from development through production for wholesale and inline customers.
- Partner with and advise designers and merchants on the selection of trims and packaging that enable execution of seasonal product developments.
- Responsible for R&D and counter development with multiple resources and multiple bids to ensure best quality, costing, and timing for all trims and packaging for the brand.
- Owns delivering trims and packaging development on-time and in support of primary allocation of products and sourcing strategies.
- Have an active voice in cost review meetings to support finalizing trims and packaging and costing for market samples.
- Ensure timelines for trims and packaging production approvals are meeting business critical deadlines.
- Support sourcing with final trims and packaging negotiations meeting cost targets.
- Ownership of external supplier partnerships -support manager with establishing/updating policies and protocol.
- Collaborate with and propose solutions on trims and packaging development and production issues. Escalate issues to sourcing with proposals for resolution and when required.
- Key Internal Business Partners are design, merch, sourcing, sales, QA, technical design.
- Ensure supplier compliance for production submits for each customer and channel.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and workflows and make recommendations.
- Ownership of trims and packaging cost accuracy across systems/records.
- Ownership of bulk packaging to align artwork and actual with customer requirements
- Review development tests against Eddie Bauer or customer test standard.
- Recruit, identify, develop, and retain talent that delivers performance excellence.
- Perform such other duties as directed by the supervisor
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years experience in trims and packaging development, sourcing, and production; preferably in Apparel, Gear, Footwear, or Accessories in omni-channel retail
- Expertise in MS Office applications; advanced Excel
- Previous PLM experience required
- ERP experience preferred.
- Proven ability to work within Retail (product development, production, merchandising, planning, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Exceptionally strong problem solving and negotiating skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Limited travel may be required, based on business needs.
- Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
- Hybrid schedule is 3 days per week in-office, working from the Seattle HQ (located in SoDo neighborhood)
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.

Physical Requirements:

Pay range and compensation package:
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $104,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience. In addition to your salary, SPARC Group, and its affiliated brands, offers a benefits package, including 401(k) plan, overtime pay, flexible work schedule and a generous employee discount program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
