- Average number of admissions per night: given night shift may see 4-5 new babies and 1-2 PED
- Locked small sleeping suite available (bed, television, shower, etc.). Area is cleaned daily by environmental services.
- Available for up to 7-10 shifts monthly
- Average credentialing time- 60-90 days
- Solo- Only 1 physician on a shift at a time- please make sure that provider understands and is ok with being only provider on shift.
How many times do they typically get called at night?
Variable depends on acuity of patients on the floor. Physicians do get calls yet this ranges extensively. There have been times when no calls have come in for 5 hours and other nights where it was much more frequent. Middle of summer is lighter than the other seasons, such as winter.
