As a Logistics Air Ocean Export Associate with freight forwarding experience, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the export of goods via air and ocean freight, leveraging your expertise to ensure efficient and compliant transportation solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the logistics of international shipments, including booking with airlines and ocean carriers, arranging transportation, and optimizing shipment routes.
- Ensure all logistical activities are executed in accordance with client requirements, service level agreements, and industry best practices.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare and review export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Facilitate customs clearance processes and resolve any issues or discrepancies to expedite shipment delivery and minimize delays.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive communication on shipment status, resolving inquiries, and addressing any logistical challenges that may arise.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their unique logistics needs and delivering personalized solutions and exceptional service.
- Freight Forwarding Expertise:
- Apply your knowledge of freight forwarding principles and practices to optimize shipment routing, select appropriate transportation modes, and negotiate competitive freight rates.
- Monitor shipment costs and expenses, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining service quality and profitability for both the company and our clients.
- Problem Solving and Risk Management:
- Proactively identify potential logistical issues and implement effective solutions to mitigate risks and minimize disruptions in shipment schedules.
- Collaborate with internal teams, carriers, and vendors to address operational challenges, ensuring smooth execution of logistics operations and achieving client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics operations with a strong focus on air and ocean export, ideally within a freight forwarding environment.
- Deep understanding of international shipping regulations, INCO terms, and customs compliance requirements.
