A global industrial contractor with projects throughout the United States is seeking
In-House Laborers with expertise in millwrighting, pipe fitting, and heavy equipment rigging to join our in-house team.
As a key part of our team, you will travel to various job sites across the United States, working on diverse and challenging projects. Your work will include installing, maintaining, and repairing complex industrial mechanical systems and heavy equipment
Essential Functions
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical assembly, installation, and maintenance of equipment in the automotive and commercial sectors, including conveyor systems, machinery, and industrial systems.
- Safely operate and rig heavy equipment for installation, relocation, or maintenance.
- Layout, fabricate, and install piping systems, including fitting and welding.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems and provide repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with other skilled laborers, contractors, and clients on-site to complete projects efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed according to project specifications and safety standards.
- Travel to job sites across the U.S. for the duration of each project.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Millwright: Expertise in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Pipe Fitter: Ability to read blueprints, install and repair piping systems, and perform welding tasks.
- Heavy Equipment Rigger: Skilled in safely rigging and moving heavy equipment, including cranes, hoists, and specialized rigging tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, particularly in high-precision industries like automotive and commercial installation.
- Flexibility to travel as needed and adapt to various work environments.
Requirements:
- Relevant certifications or extensive hands-on experience in one or more of the following trades: millwright, pipe fitting, or rigging.
- Experience working in automotive or commercial industry installations preferred.
- WILLINGNESS TO TRAVEL TO JOB SITES THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES
- Valid driver’s license.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the industrial, construction or/and mechanical installation field.
Familiarity with a wide variety of field concepts, practices and proceduresWorking knowledge of construction contract language and termsWorking knowledge of and ability to apply OSHA safety standardsWorking Environment:
- Most work is completed on job sites in an existing structure. Due to daily condition changes on construction projects, when employees are outside of the office, trailer or structure, they must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the company's safety policies and as required for weather conditions.Must be able to work extended hours, weekends, and possible holidays as directed by Project Manager and project schedule to meet the customers’ deadlines.
