Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Civil Engineering with a specialization in ground-up land development. This is a leadership role for someone with extensive expertise in site development, off-site utilities, and LID systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Civil Engineering Department, overseeing land development projects from start to finish.
- Provide technical expertise in precision grading, site utilities (on and off-site), and LID systems.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure projects meet all design and regulatory requirements.
- Develop strategies for project execution, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Mentor and guide the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Maintain high standards for project quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.
- Drive innovation within the department, applying the latest trends in LID and land development practices.
Requirements:
- PE License (Professional Engineer) is required.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in civil engineering, specializing in ground-up land development.
- Proven experience with precision grading and on and off-site utilities.
- Extensive LID (Low Impact Development) experience is essential.
- Public sector experience is not desired; focus on private land development.
- Must currently be working in civil engineering.
- A proven leader ready to take on the responsibility of managing a department and playing a pivotal role in the growth of the company.
