Role Overview:
As an Aerospace Consultant, you will leverage your operational expertise to support major aerospace and defense clients in overcoming technical, strategic, and operational challenges. You will work with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to develop solutions that improve performance, optimize processes, and enhance outcomes on critical aerospace programs, including those in the defense sector. This hybrid role allows for a combination of remote work and on-site visits to client locations when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with Top Aerospace Firms: Work closely with the top 20 largest aerospace companies, providing expert guidance on complex operational and strategic issues.
- Defense Program Engagement: Provide specialized consulting on defense programs, leveraging your knowledge of industry-specific challenges and regulatory requirements.
- Problem Solving: Analyze and resolve operational challenges, from supply chain optimization to technical performance improvements, utilizing innovative methodologies.
- Project Leadership: Lead and contribute to large-scale projects, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Client Engagement: Build strong, collaborative relationships with client stakeholders, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and technology experts, to develop and implement impactful solutions.
- Industry Insights: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, providing clients with forward-thinking advice and insights.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of operational experience in the aerospace industry, with a focus on large-scale, complex projects. Consulting experience is a plus.
- Defense Sector Knowledge: Strong familiarity with defense programs, including relevant regulations, standards, and operational challenges.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of aerospace operations, including supply chain management, manufacturing, systems engineering, or aircraft/defense systems.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems, develop data-driven insights, and present actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving client needs.
- Willingness to Travel: Flexibility to travel to client sites as needed, sometimes at short notice.
