Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Test Engineering or Quality Assurance, with specific experience in plastics, injection molding, or similar industries. This role involves designing, executing, and reporting test cases and results, as well as collaborating closely with design engineers and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead all design specification tests, including creating test plans and schedules.
- Perform tests and develop countermeasures with design engineers in case of non-conformance.
- Report test results according to the development schedule.
- Plan and lead the design specification of testing equipment.
- Collaborate with design engineers and communicate effectively with the team.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless execution of tests.
- Guide and oversee the work of test technicians.
- Review and approve reports completed by test technicians.
- Analyze test results and document test measures.
Must Haves:
- Experience in Test Engineering or Quality Assurance.
- Familiarity with testing, quality, or validation methods and tools.
- Ability to design, execute, and report test cases and results.
- B.S.M.E or B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution preferred (degree requirement may be waived for candidates with equivalent work experience).
- Experience in plastics, injection molding, or similar industries.
- Strong skills in math, writing, and communication.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, etc.
- Proficiency in using basic measurement devices such as force gauges, digital meters, thermometers, etc.
Plusses:
- Degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
- Automotive industry background
- Experience operating Catia or CAD systems.
- Knowledge of robotics.
