Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team. The Physical Therapist Assistant will work closely with Physical Therapists to provide exceptional patient care and support in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient clinics, ALF and skilled facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including exercises, stretches, and other therapeutic modalities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and adhere to facility policies and procedures.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
- Stay up-to-date with current treatment techniques and best practices in physical therapy.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assisting or related field.
- Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
- Ability to lift, push, and transfer patients as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for delivering patient-centered care and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
