Your New Role: - Position: Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant
- Job Duration: Full Time/Permanent
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 4 10-hour shifts (Monday Thursday, approximately 8 AM to 6 PM)
- Experience: At least 5 years in primary care, with at least 3 years in rural health; experience in women's health/pediatrics preferred; ortho experience is a plus
- Patient Population: Diverse, including family medicine, pediatrics, and women's health

In this Role: As a full-time Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant for a healthcare facility located in beautiful southern Alaska. The successful candidate will provide patient-centered care in a rural setting, serving a diverse patient population with a focus on family medicine, pediatrics, and women's health. The provider will work 40 hours per week, in four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, with no call schedule. The facility uses the EPIC Ambulatory EMR system. Summers see a patient load of about 16 patients per shift, while winters average 10 patients per shift. The role is autonomous, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact in the community. Candidates must have an active AK license and DEA, current BLS certification, and preferred certifications in ACLS, PALS, and ATLS. The position is open due to a provider leaving after 8 years, and the center aims to fill the role by the end of September.
