Position Overview:
The Analytics & Reporting Lead will oversee the development and execution of data engineering and analytics strategies within a dynamic banking environment. This role involves close collaboration with onshore and offshore teams to deliver high-quality reports and dashboards using tools like Cognos, Tableau, and Qlik Sense. The Lead will manage the entire analytics workflow, from data collection to insight generation, while ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance. Additionally, the role includes mentoring a team of data analysts and engineers, driving continuous improvement in data capabilities, and fostering collaboration with IT, business units, and senior management to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement data engineering and analytics strategies to support bank-wide decision-making and performance enhancement.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of comprehensive reports and dashboards, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights.
- Manage the end-to-end analytics process, guiding strategic planning and operational improvements.
- Direct a team of data analysts and engineers, providing mentorship and fostering development.
- Collaborate across departments to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations concerning data integrity, confidentiality, and security.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies and methodologies to enhance the bank's data capabilities.
- Thrive in a dynamic environment, contributing positively and effectively managing multiple tasks.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, and Analytics, with hands-on development experience.
- Proven leadership in managing data engineering teams in a banking or financial services environment.
- Strong business facing skills, Machine Learning AI Python and Big Data Cloud work.
- Extensive experience with BI tools such as Cognos, Qlik Sense, and Tableau.
- Hands-on experience with PANDAS, NumPy, and PySpark using Python programming leveraging Jupyter Notebook.
- Strong SQL skills, with 7+ years of experience in SQL Server and Oracle databases.
- Expertise in Unix Shell scripting with at least 7 years of experience.
- Knowledge in database management, data analysis, and report building.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
- Proficiency in data modeling tools such as Erwin Data Modeler.
- Experience with job scheduling software, preferably Cybernation Job Scheduler.
- Ability to translate business needs into data engineering solutions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
