Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage all aspects of a project, including budget, schedule, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. Work with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to establish project specifications and ensure alignment with client objectives.
- Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring all financial targets are met. Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle and make adjustments as necessary to keep the project within budget.
- Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team, including subcontractors, engineers, and site managers. Provide clear direction, resolve conflicts, and ensure all team members are aligned with project goals.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients. Conduct regular meetings to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all work meets or exceeds project specifications and industry standards.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent project delays or cost overruns. Handle unforeseen issues and adapt to changes in project scope or schedule.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all site activities comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations. Promote a culture of safety among all team members and subcontractors.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all project activities, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and progress reports. Prepare and submit all required documentation to clients and company leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale commercial projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
- PMP certification is a plus.
