Our automation, controls, and HVAC subcontractor client is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager to join their team in the Indianapolis metro area.
Job Title: Commercial Construction Project Manager
Openings: 2 – one in Indianapolis, one in Lebanon, IN
- Lebanon: New construction of 6 manufacturing plant buildings
- Indianapolis Downtown: retrofit and changes to pre-existing construction
Schedule: M-F, standard business hours
Location: Greater Indianapolis area
Duration: 1 year contract to permanent hire
Pay Rate: $40-70/hr (DOE)
Must Haves:
- At least 3 years of commercial construction project management
- Ideally someone who is working for and driving construction related projects for a subcontractor, and who has managed various 3rd tier subcontractors
- Managed projects with budgets of $1-10 million minimum
- Able to go onsite to either Lebanon or Downtown Indianapolis

Main Responsibilities:
The client you are working for is a building automation and HVAC subcontractor. You will be overseeing the HVAC building automation construction projects at one of the sites (Downtown or Lebanon). Could be a new build or retrofit and changes to pre-existing location depending on the location! A lot of your day to day will entail:
- Coordinating and pushing projects to completion
- Managing subcontractors, site superintendents, schedulers
- Honing in on timelines of mechanical and electrical staff (Our client does not do all of the work themselves, they sub out various mechanical and electrical things)
- Budgeting, scheduling, estimating
- Understanding the scope of the job and main end goal
