Our client is currently seeking an HR Director who will be a hands-on leader with 1 direct report. This company has 110-120 employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook, job descriptions, and the policies and procedures manual.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
Administers the compensation program. Ensures compliance per FLSA standards.
Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary, including leading calibration activities.
Partners with the Executive team for benefit selection and strategy. Responsible for administration, including PCORI and ACA required filing, change reporting, benefit renewals, and communicating benefits information to employees.
Administering of the 401(k) plan, to include census reporting and preparation of the form 5500.
Files EEO-1 and OFCCP report annually; and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
Manages and updates the Affirmative Action Plan.
Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing. Analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action.
- Responds to employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints.
Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations. Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9.
- Evaluate and make recommendations on comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are fiscally responsible for the organization.
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
- Monitors and responds to the anonymous hotline.
- Manages workmen’s compensation claims and reporting requirements; prepares and files response to unemployment compensation claims.
- Manages HR department.
- Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.
- Partners with the Finance team in developing and implementing the HR departmental budget.
- Performs other duties as required.
