Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinarian to join a client of ours in Immokalee, FL. The client is a leading provider of Non-Human Primates for critical global drug and research discovery. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional medical care to a variety of animals, ensuring their health and well-being. This role requires a valid veterinary license and a strong commitment to animal care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medical Care: Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and other health issues in non-human primates. Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as needed.
- Preventative Care: Conduct routine check-ups, vaccinations, and health screenings to prevent diseases and maintain animal health.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all primates both in hard copy and electronic formats
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Continuing Education: Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in ongoing professional development to keep license and credentials current.
Qualifications:
- License: Must hold a valid veterinary license in the USA and eligible to practice and obtain a license in Florida
- Education: Degree from an accredited veterinary school in the USA, or recognized as equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic, surgical, and medical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and restraining animals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in laboratory animal veterinary medicine, is preferred but not required
This position is a direct hire with a salary range between $185,000-$210,000k/yr
