SYSTEMTEC is currently engaged in a search for a Sr. IT Project Manager that can report on-site (@60%) for our client in Charlotte, N.C. This is a ten-month contract assignment. In this role, the Sr. IT Project Manager is responsible for leading multiple medium to large scale projects of varying complexities from inception to closure, documenting and maintaining project budgets and timelines. Ensuring project results meet agreed upon scope, budget, schedule, and quality. Additional responsibilities may include coordination with vendors and performing business analysis. May be responsible for supervising staff.
Responsibilities of the Sr. IT Project Manager:
- Lead, plans, coordinates, tracks, and delivers projects of medium to high complexity utilizing enterprise established project methodology / framework and processes.
- Leads the project team and manages performance, identifies resourcing needs, and facilitates communication to ensure understanding of objectives and assignments and determining process.
- Controls the flow of project related information.
- Develops and maintains various plans connected to the project and schedules. Identifies, monitors, and facilitates resolution of project issues. Proactively identify, manage, and facilitate resolution of project risks.
- Interact with business department stakeholders to understand business requirements, propose solutions, and maintain positive relationships. Participates in section level leadership team meetings and project decision-making.
- Document, review, and implement project change requests.
- Documents project scope, deliverables, and implementation approach. Manages all project artifacts / documentation.
- Oversee the creation and execution of test plans.
- Cooperates with vendors to implement new applications, software, and other features. Negotiates statements of work and service contracts.
- Performs related work as required.
Required Qualifications of the Sr. IT Project Manager:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in IT project management
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
- Required Licenses or Certifications -Project Management Professional (PMP)
