Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Engineering Support: Assist the Quality Engineering team in handling customer complaints, managing source inspections, conducting audits, and addressing quality issues.
- KPI Reporting: Deliver consistent updates on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to both senior management and the quality team, driving data-driven improvements.
- Training & Documentation: Coordinate and oversee the training needs of all quality control personnel, maintaining up-to-date and thorough documentation for training and inspection processes.
- Leadership & Guidance: Provide leadership and training to ensure that inspection processes are precise, effective, and meet both production and customer specifications.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams—engineering, production, and supply chain—to analyze product discrepancies and non-conformances, ensuring timely resolution of quality issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion process improvements by identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and driving forward preventative measures to avoid recurrence of quality problems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a management-level quality engineering role, with a proven track record of leading quality initiatives and driving results.
- Aerospace or aviation industry experience is required, with a deep understanding of aerospace quality standards, such as AS9100.
- Hands-on experience with quality management systems, audits, and non-conformance investigations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead teams through corrective and preventative actions.
