The Pediatric Interventional Cardiology Radiologic Technologist I/II for the Pediatric Catheterization Lab reports to the Clinic Manager. Under limited supervision, the Pediatric Interventional Cardiology Radiologic Technologist I/II performs and assists complex technical procedures, operates at a high-level of technical competency and models the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity under limited supervision. This role is responsible for the safe use of ionizing radiation for special cardiovascular, EP, and interventional procedures on a population ranging from the neonate to the Adult congenital cardiac patient. This position functions proficiently during all heart catheterization, electrophysiology studies, ablations and other cardiovascular interventional radiographic procedures. This role commands a strong knowledge of normal and abnormal cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Entity

Job Description
Perform routine diagnostic radiographs and are responsible for performing minor interventional procedures under the supervision of a radiologist and/or licensed fluoroscopic supervisor while Radiologic Technologists III independently perform the most complex technical and/or invasive procedures.
Additional Job Description
Graduation from an AMA two (2)-year approved School of Radiologic Technology. Pediatric Advanced Life Saving certification preferred, or must be obtained within six months of hire, and maintained thereafter. Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred, or must be obtained within twelve months of hire, and must be maintained thereafter.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and credentialed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent).
