Job Overview:
As a Transmission Line Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and optimization of transmission lines vital to the electrical grid. This position requires expertise in conducting feasibility studies, selecting optimal routes, and designing structures and foundations for towers and poles. Collaboration with project teams to ensure adherence to standards and overseeing construction will be central to your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize transmission lines using PLS-CADD Design software.
- Conduct engineering tasks related to transmission line design, ensuring compliance with NESC and NERC standards.
- Collaborate across teams to manage projects, oversee construction activities, and ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
- Perform inspections, assess maintenance needs, and implement upgrades to enhance transmission network reliability and efficiency.
- Interface with project teams to oversee works and ensure alignment with engineering specifications.
Essential Skills:
- Utilities industry experience with a focus on transmission lines.
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD, with expert-level capabilities.
- Strong understanding and application of NESC and NERC standards.
