Our client, an A-rated Insurance Carrier, is expanding their IT department and is seeking a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join their team and play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing the company's infrastructure to support their rapidly growing business. This person will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of their infrastructure systems. This role requires a strong background in infrastructure management, cloud technologies, and a passion for ensuring the reliability and scalability of their systems. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing complex environments. This is could be fully remote or hybrid position, depending on candidates location.
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions, ensuring high availability and performance across all systems.
- Implement and manage monitoring tools to ensure proactive detection of issues and maintain the health of the infrastructure. Conduct regular maintenance, updates, and patches to minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement automation strategies to streamline infrastructure operations, including provisioning, scaling, and configuration management.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, ensuring optimal performance, cost management, and security.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
- 7 - 15+ years of experience in infrastructure operations, with a strong focus on cloud environments and automation.
- Extensive experience with Cloud Migration, including strategy through implementation.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Well versed in the use of infrastructure monitoring tools such as Solar Winds, ThousandEyes, Netwrix, StealthWatch, and a firm understanding of Zero Trust methodologies (e.g., Zscaler, Zero Trust Network Access).
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and load balancing.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Salary / Benefits:
- $185,000 to $225,000+ annual base salary plus lucrative Target Bonus
