BAR Architecture & Interiors is seeking highly motivated, personable, talented, and well-rounded Job Captains who are passionate about housing. Immediate and upcoming project opportunities span mixed-use, student, affordable, and market rate housing, and also hospitality and custom home markets. We have current openings in both our San Francisco and Los Angeles offices. We believe in the vital nature of in-person collaboration and are not interested in candidates seeking full-time remote positions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum 5-8 years of full-time experience in producing, coordinating, detailing construction document sets
- Working knowledge of various construction types, building materials, and systems
- Working knowledge of California Building Code and ADA Accessibility Code
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communications skills
- Proactive attitude with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentational skills is required
- Ability to work on smaller projects independently as well as collaborate on larger-scale projects as part of a larger team
- Able to work effectively, balancing demands on multiple projects at various stages of development; willingness to pitch in and assist wherever needed
- Fluency with REVIT, Sketch-up or Rhino, Adobe CS, and hand-sketching graphic skills
- If not licensed, already on path to CA architectural licensure
- Sustainability accreditation highly desired
- Professional Architecture Degree

At the time of posting this job advertisement, the salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $95,000.00, commensurate with qualifications, and the position is eligible for an annual bonus. If you are hired at BAR, your anticipated annual salary is based on but not limited to factors such as skills, education, licensure, and certification credentials if applicable, experience and/or project complexity, and geographic location.
