Insight Global's Fortune 500 client is seeking a Manager of Data Governance to join their growing data governance team! This team is part of a new major company-wide initiative to maintain the highest standards of data governance and compliance, and be a part of a team that drives innovation and excellence. As a critical member of this new organization, the Data Governance Manager will own the development and implementation of data governance, controls, and compliance frameworks. In this new role, you will collaborate with teams across our business to ensure that our new policies, standards, and procedures align with our strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has broad experience in this space, with knowledge of a variety of strategies, standards, frameworks and operating models. What you will do: Develop and Implement Strategies: Formulate and roll-out data governance strategies, policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and requirements Compliance and Monitoring: Oversee the development, review, and monitoring of compliance with data governance processes, and lead investigations and reporting of any violations Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including global data offices, privacy, and information security, to integrate data governance controls and policies into key organizational processes Training and Communication: Design and deliver training programs and workshops, and handle key communications to enhance data governance knowledge and practices across the organization Change Management: Facilitate change management activities to ensure the adoption of changes, and implement measurement systems to monitor adoption, utilization, and proficiency
Must Haves:
- 5-10+ years of experience within data governance and IT risk analysis
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Experience with implementation and roll-out of privacy platforms (change management sessions, education sessions, workshops, etc.)
- Experienced liaising between IT and business/non-IT teams
- Experienced with drafting enterprise level policy
- Experienced developing procedures and standards from scratch
- Understanding of control frameworks around data governance and developing controls for data governance
- Experienced performing risk assessments
- Experience with any data catalog (Atlan, Alation, Informatica, Atlas, etc.)
- Experienced with office tools (G-Suite or MS Suite) for giving presentations and strong communication skills
- Comfortable going onsite 2 days a week in Piscataway, NJ with occasional visits to NYC
