Akkodis is seeking a Mainframe Programmer for a contract position with our Fortune 500 banking client.
Rate: $55.68 - $60.68/hr w2

Ideally will come into Hopkins location 3 days/week.
Can you please provide a summary of the project/initiatives which describes what’s being done?
Will be working on set up and data validation of files on our mainframe to support a system conversion to a new vendor, TPG.
What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position?
1. Data validation/comparison
2. Work with downstream system groups to transmit and test data files
3. Work with tech team to determine when/how to decommission mainframe files (to meet go-live in May, 2025 we need to continue to use mainframe files but then post-go live will look at pulling off mainframe and decommissioning )
What skills/technologies are required?
Looking for someone with experience in mainframe FOCUS and mainframe COBOL. They should be experienced with IBM JCL, and IBM procedures. Need someone to be able to read and interpret code but not write any new programs on the mainframe. Looking for senior level experience and/or can be lesser amount of years of experience if they meet the criteria.
What skills/attributes are preferred?
Autosys transmissions, file compares using File Manager.
