Our client is one of the nation’s largest developers, owner, and manager of high-quality student housing communities. They are looking to hire a Cloud Services Manager on a contract-to-hire basis to drive the company’s cloud transformation journey and ensure the successful implementation and optimization of their cloud-based solutions. This position will lead the Cloud Service Team fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in cloud technologies.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide management and strategic direction for the Cloud Services Team
- Responsible for the Information Technology Cloud Services engineering and architecture
- Maintain core application infrastructure, production and non-production environments for use in application delivery, debugging, and testing
- Establish robust cloud architecture, enable scalability, security, and efficiency, while aligning with business objectives and industry best practices
- Plan and manage Cloud Operations including budgeting
- Responsible for implementing DevOps automation within IT to create greater efficiencies
- Compiling technical requirements and collaborating in development processes
- Responsible for managing a team of high-level engineers
- Responsible for design, implementation, and migration of Cloud based service
- Responsible for tooling, design, and implementation of system used to manage code development and deployment
- Supports audit controls and requests
- Liaison between Development, Support, and IT Operation
- Manages vendor negotiations and contracts pertaining to these services
Required Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of related industry experience; prior background in a dynamically changing environment desired
- Microsoft Azure and ITIL certificates are a plus
- Managing highly technical teams of System, Network, and Database administrators
- Deep experience with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code
- Deep experience with Azure core technologies
- Project management methodologies such as Agile
- Best practices IT Service Management such as ITIL
- Microsoft technology stack
- Networking technology including routers, switches, firewalls, and load-balancers
- Understanding of compliance rules such as SOX and PCI
- Proven track record of developing and implementing IT best practices and procedures
