ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for a Direct-Hire, 100% on-site role in Las Colinas, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in crafting and managing applications within cloud environments, specifically AWS. There are some instances of Azure, but our client desires AWS expertise. This position demands a deep understanding of cloud management, cost efficiency, and a variety of cloud services, such as virtual machines, serverless solutions, and container orchestration.
In this role, you'll architect, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications and services on AWS and Azure platforms, focusing on enhancing and modernizing them to leverage cloud-native features for improved performance and scalability. You'll optimize cloud resources to achieve cost-effectiveness, performance gains, and enhanced security. Key responsibilities include overseeing the deployment of virtual machines, serverless resources, and virtual networks, as well as managing containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
You'll also set up and maintain cloud storage solutions, manage APIs, content delivery networks, load balancers, and DNS configurations, and implement identity and access management (IAM) and role-based access control (RBAC) within cloud environments. Additionally, you'll utilize machine learning services to build and deploy models, monitor and log cloud systems using industry-standard tools, develop CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps, and automate infrastructure management using Terraform and CloudFormation.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
3-5+ years in the following skill sets…
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes services.
- Strong expertise in serverless architectures and microservices.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases, managed RDS, and data warehouse solutions.
- Experience in API management, content delivery networks, load balancing, and DNS configuration.
- Knowledge of key management, IAM, and RBAC practices.
- Experience with deploying machine learning models in the cloud.
- Proficiency in CI/CD processes and tools.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
HIGHLY DESIRED (BUT NOT REQUIRED)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- Expertise in cloud governance, cost efficiency, and financial management in cloud (FinOps).
- Strong understanding of cloud pricing models and cost optimization strategies.
- Experience with Python API development or Go programming.
