Our client is a prestigious and highly acclaimed legal firm in the San Francisco Bay Area that serves the community, individuals, and organizations. We seek a Legal Assistant to support the day-to-day administration of the Legal Partners and legal Staff in case management, document tracking, client matter requests, redlining documents, managing calendars, and office support.
This Project reports to the Managing Partners, offering excellent collaboration and solid leadership.
- Provide administrative assistance to Legal leadership, court management, and support staff.
- Solid knowledge of legal processes, terminology, and workflows within a corporate legal environment
- Support extensive administrative tasks and close interaction with the attorneys, paralegals, and contract team members.
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, prepare legal documents and format them, and operate with meticulous accuracy.
- Administer case information, handle court documents, schedules, and mail, and assist Legal team with cases and documents
- Understanding of Legal Standards and Regulations: Awareness of compliance requirements
- Proficient in process mapping and design for legal workflows, expertise in designing efficient workflows specific to legal operations.
- Communication Skills with Legal Professionals: Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal staff
- Collaborate with accounting regarding client billing
- Proficient in e-filing and e-File systems for legal document submission
- Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare expense reports for legal executives.
- Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, in addition to clients, vendors, and legal entity professionals
- Support the team with additional administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or relative work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience within a Legal Industry environment
- Experience as an administrative assistant, paralegal, legal secretary, program assistant, customer service role, or related field
- Document management Systems experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word (advanced), Excel), and DocuSign
- Understanding of Legal Standards and Regulations: Awareness of compliance requirements and industry-specific legal standards.
- Process Mapping and Design for Legal Workflows: Expertise in designing efficient workflows specific to legal operations.
- Excellent business acumen -verbal and written; Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal staff
