Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Cloud Architect for a Direct-Hire job with a client located in Cleveland, OH (Hybrid).
Pay Range: $150,000 to $170,000 + 15% Bonus; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Need someone local to Cleveland, OH for the hybrid role in the office 2- 3 days a week. This is a collaborative role.
Job responsibilities include:
The Cloud Architect is responsible for architecting global solutions that streamline access and use of cloud resources while consolidating IT infrastructure, automating workloads, and pursuing next-generation innovation.
- The individual in this role remains hands-on and leads by example.
- The Cloud Architect brings clarity to complexity and demonstrates smart ways to simplify. This role requires a leader and mentor, to set excellent examples for the local teams and business partners.
- The Cloud Architect will have a firm grasp of data center infrastructure systems, Microsoft Azure, and the implementation of large-scale projects to the cloud. The Cloud Architect must thrive in fast-paced environments, be able to manage through ambiguity and complexity, invent and simplify processes, and simultaneously support multiple projects impacting a growing global organization.
- This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs versus technical constraints. Maturity, curiosity, creative problem-solving, and team leadership are all essential to success in this role.
- Responsible for collaborating with IT Leadership, Enterprise IT Architects IT engineering peers, and key business partners in developing the principles and guidelines for the future-state Cloud IT architecture in alignment with the strategic goals of the company.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field and 10 years of professional experience or 14 years of professional experience in lieu of a degree
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in several of the following areas: Data Center infrastructure systems (Active Directory, Networking, SAN), database architecture, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analytics
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture
- 3+ years of relevant experience in cloud architecture including designing, implementing, and managing workloads in AWS, Azure, or similar cloud-based platforms
Skills/Knowledge:
- Understanding of modern computer and cloud computing technology and security services
- Technical expertise in Windows O/S, VMWare, Microsoft Azure, SaaS, Hyper-V, PowerShell
- Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve great results
- Deals positively with high levels of uncertainty, ambiguity, and shifting priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with all levels of the organization
- Constructively presents, discusses, and debates alternatives along with being a thought leader to solve business problems through technology
- Strategic thinker
- Acts with speed, simplicity, and decisiveness
- Ability to work within and influence others
- Analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
- Technology Evangelist
- Certifications in Azure or AWS are preferred
