Your Role
The People & Engagement Technology team is a critical member of the People & Engagement - P&E (Human Resources) organization and is responsible for providing technical and functional leadership for multiple products in the HR Technology portfolio. It provides product and system solutions to support digital transformation, automation, application security, regulatory compliance, and end-user support. The People and Engagement Technology, Consultant will report to the Sr Manager, People and Engagement Technology. In this role, you will be a lead in business process, systems, and technology planning and delivery for HR. You will consult with business leaders on process definition, improvement, systems, performance and best practices and facilitate and lead requirements gathering and ServiceNow HR Service Delivery implementation projects.
Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Plan and establish goals and objectives for the department or in partnership with the department lead
- Develop and evaluate new product concepts, designs, and/or enhancements to existing product design that reflect business and user needs
- Provide ServiceNow functional/technical expertise by acting as subject matter expert and leading the company through the entire cloud application services implementation lifecycle of HR Service Delivery
- Partner with business stakeholders and lead through influence to conduct strategic planning and create product roadmap. Define and drive product vision, roadmap, prioritization, and plan functionality
- Communicate with and influence senior leadership regarding matters of significant importance like solution design and prioritization of backlog
- Manage and execute product roadmap to keep it on-track and under budget. Review backlog, risk, and issue areas, and proactively plan mitigation
- Lead business stakeholder discussions for planning - provide feasibility, effort and capacity needs and proactively raise risks for any potential impacts
- Manage product lifecycle, from strategic planning to tactical activities, specifying requirements for current and future products
- Manage product backlog and coordinate to plan product release schedule ensuring successful delivery by P&E Teach and IT teams
- Conduct research and develop a strong understanding of the business' needs, new technologies, technology trends and competitors
- Invest in product process improvements, utilizing data and organizational strategies to foster and influence change
- Develop product documents and mockups to clearly illustrate product ideas and concepts
- Lead, direct and review the work of a small to mid-size technology team who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments ensuring successful service delivery to COEs at the appropriate support levels
- Build and grow a high performing team; support team through encouragement and by example
- Build credibility as a thoughtful, creative, and effective communicator, having integrity and empathy, and passion
- Participate in the development of solution architectures, roadmaps, and system transition plans, applications, data, integration, and/or infrastructure architecture
- Manage activities such as systems design and analysis, applications and systems management and operations
Qualifications
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a college degree or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience
- Requires 3+ years of HR Technology development, configuration, and optimizing experience
- Experience with ServiceNow HR Service Delivery strongly preferred
- Requires understanding of Human Resources functions and business processes
- Experience leading large, enterprise-wide products and system implementations preferred
- Ability to apply Agile methodology
- Experience with building high performing teams by providing guidance, coaching, and training to team members
- Excellent verbal / written communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is: $ 109120.00 to $ 163680.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
