The Final Assembly Department Supervisor supervises staff in daily activities concerning the Final Assembly Department.

Final Assembly Department Supervisor Salary Range:$66,560.00 - 77,376.00/year

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Supervises department in daily activities.
- Provides daily, weekly, and monthly department status updates to manager on production rates vs. goals, progress of improvement projects, and other necessary information.
- Directly supervises employees in department. Handles and resolves employee issues.
- Oversees the assignment and /or assigns daily workload to employees.
- Ensures the sustainment of First-In-First-Out (FIFO) and prioritizes Work-in-Progress (WIP).
- Maintains detailed rolling action item lists (RAILs) for part progress through repair and rework.
- Identify and report defect trends seen within Final Assembly department.
- Participates in new product or LTD releases and communicates information to their teams.
- Identifies and addresses potential issues with materials and/or shortages in their areas.
- Promotes and participates in continuous improvement projects.
- Reviews department employees’ performance and makes recommendations to the Department Manager regarding pay increases, reprimands, terminations or other personnel matters.
- Helps cover any work that needs completion due to malfunction or absence.
- Supports machine/equipment concerns with machine maintenance in a timely fashion.
- Inspects finished departmental products.
- Ensures cleanliness and maintenance of equipment in the department.
- Supervises new employees in the methods and responsibilities of their department and conducts changes in earlier methods as required.
- Ensures Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are in working order.
- Communicates with team during regularly scheduled department meetings.
- Supports part bins, assigns bin monitor responsibilities to capable/qualified employee.
- Maintains cleanliness, organization and workflow of the department.
- Maintains employee timesheets via UltiPro including PTO requests and employee punches.

Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). Must have a minimum of one year of people leadership experience (i.e. department lead / supervisor). Five plus years of directly related experience pertaining to specific department functions (Final Assembly of acoustic, electric, and hybrid instruments); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience building or repairing stringed instruments with In-depth knowledge and working understanding of cause and effect of various defects.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications.
