Location: Montgomery, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Respond to e-mails and phone calls from suppliers and vendors and interact with various employees to keep purchase orders moving smoothly.
- Work together with sales representatives, and purchasing agents, on new and existing sales, or when a problem arises.
- Responsible for providing quotes, lead times, price, and minimum buy information.
- Responsible for the analysis and maintenance of procurement and logistics data, including purchase orders, quotations, invoices source catalogs, and inventory management.
- Make inquiries and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, and other factors relevant to the organization.
- Purchase the highest quality products at the least possible cost and in correct quantities.
- Carry out the preparation of purchase orders, review requisitions for goods and services, and solicit bid proposals as needed.
- Monitor shipments to guarantee on-time delivery and settle problems associated with undelivered or damaged goods.
- Accurately report all project milestones to top management.
- Analyze different commodity markets to understand market trends and ensure that the organization is using the right supplier.
- Attend Trade Shows to seek out products and trends.
Requirements:
- 2-5+ years of strong administrative experience within a distribution, wholesale, or similar environment
- Advanced Excel skills (including v-lookups & pivot tables)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented nature
- A passion for staying on top of new beauty items in the market and constantly being on the lookout for new trends through social media (TikTok, Instagram, etc.)
- Strong negotiating and communication skills
- Working knowledge of Canva is a big plus!
- Must be able to manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment while being extremely adaptable and flexible
- Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills.
- Must be comfortable with some travel in the future! (less than 10%)
