We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to drive the execution for our ARR and MRR product initiatives across the company. This role is pivotal in optimizing our Billing and Collections revenue models, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Billing and Collections systems, SaaS metrics, and revenue management processes, with a strong focus on customer-centric solutions.
You will be responsible for setting the driving innovation, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that enhance our financial performance. This role requires a strong background in financial systems, a deep understanding of recurring revenue models, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable product requirements. Technologies you will interact with include but are not limited to Salesforce, NetSuite, Oracle EPM, and various revenue management platforms.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As the Lead Product Owner, you will be responsible for:
- Drive ARR and MRR products: Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and refine the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and market demands.
- Managing the product lifecycle: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of product features.
- Prioritizing product features: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Sales, and IT, to prioritize features and enhancements that drive ARR and MRR growth.
- Driving cross-functional collaboration: Lead and motivate teams across IT, finance, and business units to deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer experience and optimize recurring revenue.
- Establishing governance and standards: Implement best practices for product management, including governance, standards, and processes that support the efficient operation of ARR and MRR models.
- Owning data governance and process flows: Ensure data integrity and consistency across all revenue-related systems, working closely with data teams to manage and improve data governance processes.
- Acting as a business leader: Take ownership of the product vision, acting as a key business partner and advocate for customer-centric solutions that drive recurring revenue.
- Supporting M&A activities: Assist with the integration of ARR and MRR models during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless transitions and alignment with corporate strategy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and innovate the business processes related to ARR and MRR across Billing and Collections.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Finance, Sales, and IT to gather and document requirements for new features and enhancements related to ARR and MRR.
- Lead the breakdown of business requirements into technical user stories with the engineering team.
- Prioritize the product backlog to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and revenue goals.
- Prepare change management documentation and lead stakeholder communication efforts before major releases.
- Collaborate with product marketing to support go-to-market strategies and customer communication.
- Assist in maturing the overall operating model and improving processes related to ARR and MRR management.
- Lead the integration of revenue models during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring alignment with existing systems and processes.
- Manage cross-functional stakeholders and drive system automations to improve operational efficiencies.
- Lead non-direct reports across application BA, admins, developers, and third-party resources.
- Streamline application support processes and manage SLAs for revenue-related systems.
- Conduct regular system audits and prepare for upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to revenue operations.
- Work with third-party integration tools and vendors to ensure seamless integration of revenue management systems.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- 10+ years of experience in product ownership or equivalent management roles, with a focus on financial systems and recurring revenue models.
- 7+ years of experience with financial SaaS platforms like NetSuite, Salesforce, or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge of ARR and MRR metrics, including their impact on business performance.
- Proven track record of leading successful product initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong understanding of SaaS financial models, including subscription management, billing, and revenue recognition.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong data management and analytical abilities, with a focus on revenue metrics.
- Experience with enterprise integration between CRM, ERP, and financial systems.
- Self-starter persona with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion.
- Experience with M&A activities, particularly in the context of financial system integration, is a plus.
- Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) processes for finance, accounting, and revenue management.
- Familiarity with revenue recognition standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience with vendor management, contract management, and spend management.
