Job Summary
Seeking a Facility Engineering Manager to join the skilled engineering team. This role will oversee the facility support and engineering teams at our cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing site, managing areas such as the power plant, security, pest control, and maintenance. You will ensure adherence to regulatory standards and oversee large capital projects.
This is a full-time, onsite position located in West Caldwell, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Lead facility support staff, including teams handling the power plant, security, and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with State, Federal, and Local regulations.
- Manage capital projects from design through construction and budgeting.
- Represent the company during audits and respond to audit requests.
- Oversee site security and fire alarm systems.
- Work overtime, off-shift, and weekends as necessary.
- Develop and execute SOPs, Change Controls, Event Notices, CAPAs, and other GMP protocols.
- Ensure adherence to proper engineering documentation practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Over 15 years of experience as a Facility Engineering Manager in a GMP environment.
- At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- More than 5 years of experience in team leadership, coaching, and performance management.
- Demonstrated success in managing large capital projects.
- Knowledge of DEA compliant construction requirements.
- Experience with maintenance, energy center operations, and fire suppression systems.
- Familiarity with building codes and the NEC.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
