Codédex is looking for a Senior Curriculum Developer (Contractor) to spearhead the curriculum production. This is a full-time contract position for 3 months with an opportunity to transition into a full-time salary + equity position and join the founding team. You can expect ~40 hours of work per week with daily standup meetings, bi-weekly curriculum meetings, and twice a month 1:1s.

We are based in Brooklyn, NY. We work from our office in Dumbo two days a week (Tue & Thu) and WFH the other three (MonWedFri).
We are remote-friendly (CST or EST), but prefer a NYC-based candidate.
👤 Responsibilities
- Architect byte-sized interactive coding exercises
- Review project tutorials written by the community
- Apply pedagogy best practices and break down dry technical concepts into fun, digestible components
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering team to innovate and push the boundaries of learning to code online
- Co-lead the Curriculum bi-weekly meetings and move the ball forward
- Address bug reports and curriculum feedback from the community
- Lead workshops and office hours 1-2 times a quarter
- Report to Founder & CEO
🧳 Qualifications
- 3+ years of working experience in curriculum writing, technical writing, or similar, preferably in EdTech
- Strong foundation in web dev, data science, and/or AI (HTML/CSS, JS, React, Command Line, Python, etc.)
- Proficiency in Markdown and GitHub
- A strong command of written and spoken English
- Experience writing educational content that reaches a broad audience of different age groups
- Experience in communicating with remote/hybrid teams
- Scrappy, resourceful, and enjoy working in a fast-paced (sometimes chaotic!) startup environment
- Self-motivated and a BIG team player
