Are you an accomplished senior software engineer who wants to share your knowledge with the next generation of programmers? Do you want to have in hand in making AI software accessible for all?
Venchr are working with one of America’s most impressive AI scale-ups, who are altering the way the world approaches software for the better. We are looking for an accomplished Engineering Manager with previous experience working on AI products who is dedicated to the growth of their staff above all else.
What you’ll do:
This is a mostly hands-off role, so the job primarily concerns developing and honing the skills of your engineering community. This includes performing code reviews, providing technical feedback and evangelising best practice across the engineering team internally.
The Engineering Manager will also be a key figure in the hiring process for the company as they continue their expansion. This will involve conducting technical interviews and onboarding new team members as well as being responsible for their induction into the company.
The benefits package for this role exceeds industry expectations, including generous compensation of up to $2.5 million in equity alongside a $20k+ yearly budget for self-improvement (e.g. coaching sessions, technical courses, conferences, etc.).
What we’re looking for:
Our ideal candidate is extremely well-versed in the creation and building of AI products, preferably with a background in AI agents. Despite this role being focused away from tech itself, the role requires an engineer who is experienced and accomplished within their field, with the capability to teach others.
The company have a technology-agnostic approach and are adaptable when it comes to what technology you consider yourself well-versed in. You will also possess some machine learning or artificial intelligence knowledge: enough to be comfortable coaching the latest theory and practice but by no means is it required you be an expert.
This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with a hybrid working model (2 to 3 days a week in the office), so you will have to be comfortable commuting to this location.
If this role sounds like an opportunity you’d love to immerse yourself in, please submit your resume quickly to avoid disappointment and we will be in touch with the next steps!
