Job Description:
The Sr. Manager, Government Compliance is recognized as an internal expert and thought leader in their area of expertise with broad experience across multiple functions. This position works under a consultative direction against annual goals to manage large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization. You will plan, coordinate, and participate in the activities and operations of the finance department at Fisica Inc., including cost accounting standards, federal acquisition, and government audit guidelines associated with contract proposal and forward pricing rates. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Essential Functions:
- Works under consultative direction against annual goals and objectives of Fisica Inc.
- Responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance in the organization, involved large cross-functional teams.
- Act as an individual contributor but will also partner with all facets including accounting, finance, program management and supply chain.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of government accounting regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable government accounting regulations, including but not limited to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) guidelines.
- Prepare and review financial reports and statements in compliance with government accounting regulations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate and support external audits and government contract audits, providing all necessary documentation and information.
- Develop and implement internal control systems to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting and compliance with government regulations.
- Monitor and assess changes in government accounting regulations and update organizational policies and procedures accordingly.
- Provide guidance and training to finance and accounting staff on government accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, contracts, and program management, to ensure compliance with government accounting regulations throughout the organization.
- Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of internal processes and controls to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies and auditors regarding accounting compliance matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of 12 years of relevant experience or graduate degree and minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related exp.
- Experience with creating policies, procedures, and ensuring compliance with all applicable government account regulations including but not limited to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) guidelines.
- Mastery level knowledge within Specific technical area or multiple job area.
- Required to have experience within the government contracting industry.
- Preferred experience with one of the following ERP systems, Costpoint, ProPricer or WAWF.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, the salary range for this role is $175,00-225,000.This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off.
