(MKN) are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical CAD Technician II / Mechanical Senior Designer who is excited to become part of a growing, highly respected water resources engineering and planning firm. We are a rapidly growing, team-oriented and highly motivated group with offices in San Luis Obispo, Arroyo Grande, San Jose, Bakersfield, Fresno, Irvine, and Ventura. This position would work out of our San Luis Obispo or Arroyo Grande location with the option to work remotely as well. Duties:
Duties will include but are not limited to participating in a drafting/design team; creating construction plans for water, wastewater, and recycled water infrastructure using AutoCAD and Civil 3D; creating record drawings from field notes and markups; drafting construction details; creating ground surfaces and profiles; designing pipelines, structures, and mechanical equipment, such as booster pump stations, lift stations, and treatment plants; and performing quantity takeoffs of construction documents, among other drafting and design responsibilities under the supervision of a Design Engineer and/or a CAD Manager.
Expectations:
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, as well as eagerness and enthusiasm to serve on a wide variety of planning and engineering projects throughout California.
Requirements & Experience:
Significant coursework or a degree in computer-aided drafting and design are required. Minimum 5 years of experience is preferred.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; MKN does not sponsor foreign nationals for employment-based visas or permanent residence.
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this role will be between $50.00 and $60.00 per hour based on education and experience. The firm offers competitive benefits and most importantly an opportunity for mentorship by a senior team with water/wastewater/recycled water infrastructure experience on major regional projects throughout the western US.
