A Fortune 500 client is looking to have a Storage System Architect join their team. This client is leading company in the Aerospace and Defense, communications, enterprise healthcare, industrial, capital equipment and energy industries to deliver solutions for their most complex challenges in manufacturing hardware solutions. As a Storage System Architect you will define the architecture of the storage/server system, lead new technology research, study market trend, customers interface and lead the clients design team in the storage/server space. The ideal candidate needs to have strong knowledge in server design, JBODs and storage controllers and subsystems, as well as implementation of x86 based design as well as knowledge in ethernet, FC, SCSI, MVMe, SAS and PCIe protocol. This role will be 100% remote with travel up to 5 times per year.
Must Haves:
- 10-15+ years of server/storage hardware design experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of server/storage experience at the system level
- Successful experience architecting and delivering server/storage/converged products to market Excellent customer presentation skills. Interface and interact with large OEM and end user customers on ongoing product design
- HW design of Storage Products. High density JBOD, or Storage Controllers (includes CPU subsystem)
- Customer facing. Involved in architectural trade-offs, HW subsystems and interconnects - Experience with modern CPU design such as Intel SapphireRapids / EmeraldRapids or AMD Genoa / Turin.
- Experience with PCIe bus technology - at least Gen4, preferred Gen5 - Experience with Storage technology like SAS, SATA, NVMe with storage products 24 -> 100 drives
- Data ASICs like - Broadcom or Microchip SAS Expanders, PCIe Switches

· Prior experience on rack level integration design is a plus Successful NPI launch experience
