A High Tech team for an enterprise level tech company is seeking a UI Designer and Architect to join their team for a 6+ month contract opportunity. This UI Designer will be responsible for designing the UI architecture, interaction flow, and aesthetics of a new organizational wiki. We’re looking for a Wiki Architect, Designer, and Project Manager to create elegant, intuitive web interfaces that meet the needs of a high-tech brand's Business Operations. This designer will have a significant impact on the creative direction of the internal Wiki and Confluence platforms.
- Onsite full time hours in Redmond, WA
- Hourly Rate: $35-40/hr
Responsibilities:
- Design the overall wiki architecture and structure to optimize knowledge management.
- Create user-centered designs by incorporating user feedback and usability findings.
- Implement and maintain the wiki, including creating templates, setting permissions, and integrating with other systems.
- Monitor wiki usage and engagement, making improvements based on user feedback.
- Perform basic HTML and CSS edits to the website as needed.
- Analyze wiki analytics to identify areas for improvement and drive enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, IT, and knowledge management, to align the wiki with business goals and requirements.
- Ensure the wiki complies with brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to recommend and implement improvements to the wiki and website.
- Present design work to the Business Operations and Marketing teams, product teams, and stakeholders for review and feedback.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in wiki architecture, implementation, and management, preferably with Confluence.
- Extensive experience in designing enterprise-level wiki structures and taxonomies to optimize knowledge management.
- Demonstrated experience in creating user-centered design solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and web programming (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, Visual).
- Strong understanding of web best practices, user experience, and search engine optimization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset to interpret wiki data and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with web accessibility guidelines and compliance standards.
- Experience in designing and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is a must.
- Content Management Systems (CMS) and web programming (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, Visual) a must.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, and Dreamweaver.
- Proficient in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) administration and development.
