Job Summary:
The Product Manager will collaborate with marketing, product management, and sales teams to drive growth across existing, new, and adjacent product lines. You will oversee various functions within the product management department, including product strategy and development, supply chain management, cost analysis, and supplier relationships. This role will focus on driving product growth and adoption through strategic initiatives in pricing, product differentiation, and cost management. Your responsibilities will also involve market research, sales forecasting, global sourcing, and inventory planning. You will interface directly with 3rd party manufacturers, customers, and internal teams across sourcing, logistics, customer service, and sales.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in product management, market research, data analysis, and inventory management, who can maintain operational efficiency while delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries.
- Manage product proposition, pricing, costing, profitability, and sourcing decisions.
- Communicate supply chain updates and challenges to the global sales force.
- Forecast and manage global inventory at the SKU-warehouse level to meet customer needs while mitigating inventory risks.
- Identify, vet, and establish relationships with new vendors for product sourcing.
- Conduct market research to identify competitive insights and new client opportunities.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and global product managers to identify new business opportunities.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies across all geographies for product lines.
- Analyze cost and pricing dynamics, providing recommendations to senior management and sales teams.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve order discrepancies, shipment issues, and transactional errors.
- Contribute innovative ideas to the leadership team to support company growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting and data variance analysis.
- Ability to use public data sources to research global suppliers and market trends.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external stakeholders.
- High energy, proactive, and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service with a "no task too small" mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Background in supply chain or product management is preferred.
- Experience in the chemicals or ingredients industries is a plus.
