This Satellite / New-Space company is deploying a next-generation Space Communications infrastructure
As a Lead Embedded Software Engineer, you'll lead the full development of mission-critical embedded software on their satellites, as they continue to build and launch.
Lead Embedded Software Engineer Responsibilities
- Develop the full software lifecycle and architecture for embedded software systems on new LEO satellites (Embedded C, Embedded Linux)
- Lead HiL (Hardware In Loop) testing, on-vehicle testing, and eventual integration and deployment of Flight and Embedded Software algorithms
- Support the adjacent development of propulsion, avionics, hardware, and other spacecraft systems
- Report directly to Heads of Engineering and take full ownership of the embedded software design
Lead Embedded Software Engineer Requirements
- 3+ years of experience developing complex embedded systems in Space or related industries (Drones, UAVs, Autonomous Driving etc.)
- Excellent C/Linux embedded software skills (Pentalinux or Yocto ideally too)
- FPGA or low-level hardware/bare-metal knowledge desired
- Python knowledge (test, automation, etc.)
A US Green Card or Citizenship is required!
