The Dimensional Technician is responsible for supporting the prototype/pre-series body manufacturing and assembly.
Essential Functions:
- Participate in the production of pre-series or prototype body components, modules and vehicles.
- Work inside the cell in order to make sure assemblies are dimensionally accurate.
- Review measurement reports and CAD data in order to determine what adjustments are needed on the equipment (fixtures, tools).
- Responsible for shimming processes - to compensate for manufacturing tolerances, optimize clamping, ensure stability, maintain repeatability, and adapt to design changes.
