Position Overview: As the Americas Benefits and Employee Relations Executive, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage all aspects of employee benefits programs (health, retirement, time off, holidays, R&R etc.) and employee relations within the organization. You will play an important role in designing, implementing, and administering competitive and comprehensive benefits packages for employees across the Americas region. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations, fostering positive employee relations, and ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Benefits Management:
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance employee benefits programs across the Americas region.
- Collaborate with HR teams, vendors, and insurance providers to design and administer competitive and cost-effective benefits packages.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards related to benefits administration.
- Analyze benefit utilization and cost data to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding workplace issues, conflicts, and grievances.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and termination procedures.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to employee relations and promote employee engagement.
- Stay updated on labor laws and regulations, proactively addressing any potential compliance issues.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure all benefits programs and employee relations practices are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to benefits administration and employee relations activities.
- Communication:
- Develop and deliver employee communications, including benefits enrollment materials, policy updates, and educational resources.
- Communicate with employees, vendors, customers and agencies for UI claims, audits, employment verification letters etc.
- Foster effective communication channels to promote transparency and trust between employees and management.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience (4+ years) in benefits administration, employee relations, or a similar HR role, with a focus on the Americas region.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, including healthcare, retirement, wellness, and other related offerings.
- Solid understanding of labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements within the Americas region.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Analytical mindset and proficiency in data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
This is a full-time role and preferably will be based in Pleasanton, CA however we are open to considering remote candidates with required experience. The salary and benefits package are at par with the industry.
