- Lead a continuous improvement culture within the organization by prioritizing opportunities and execution of a Lean transformation strategy and metrics
- Utilize metrics to provide support to process owners in linking projects to strategic operational objectives and operating improvements.
- Lead and conduct process checks to ensure operational leaders are maintaining their standards and action plans are in place to move to improve
- Assisting teams in developing Lean roadmaps to use in the deployment of strategic objectives
- Managing and facilitating continuous improvement projects and kaizen events to improve productivity and accelerate growth
- Challenging organizational leaders when necessary to create an action-based culture of continuous improvement and increase CI and Lean-oriented thinking throughout the organization
- Provide management reports and key performance data and monitor cost savings. • Training, mentoring, and guiding team members in new processes
- Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
- Maintaining effective communication between employees and management to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood.
- Ensure KPIs: Productivity, Safety, Cost Management (Identifying cost drivers, evaluate cost[1]saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize resource allocation
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, process management, operations, industrial engineering, or engineering management.
- 10+ years of hand-on lean manufacturing in process optimization
- Teach and Coach effectively, drive for results, plan, organize and motivate others.
- Advanced skills in the use of data management tools to monitor progress toward goals
- Excellent communication skills (written & oral), including the ability to facilitate meetings.
- Maintain a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provides for individual growth.
- Bilingual – English/Spanish – preferred
- 5S hands on experience
- Experience of FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), Kaizen/A3 (continuous improvement and problem solving), process improvement and Poka Yoke (error proofing) techniques
- Leadership and conflict management skills • Full understanding of industry safety standard
