Opportunity to join the team at a well-established distributor for the maritime transportation industry! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining customer relationships by following client requirements for time service, follow up, deliveries and quality. This is an entry-level, 100% on-site, temp-to-hire opportunity!
Customer Service Representative Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer and route emails
- Review all customer requests for quote
- Research and locate parts for customer quotes (material chasing)
- Enter quotes into QuickBooks
- Email customer quotes
- Respond to customer emails/calls
- Receive and review customer purchase orders for accuracy
- Order parts and materials to fulfill customer order
- Organize and maintain system for all customer/vendor correspondence
- Contacting vendors for shipment dates
- Scan documents and drawings as needed
- Prepare orders for shipment (UPS knowledge is helpful)
- Create or maintain reports as needed
- Flexibility to take on any new company or customer work as assigned
Customer Service Representative Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 6+ months of related experience
- Microsoft Office and some QuickBooks knowledge
- Helpful to others (co-workers, customers, company)
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Customer service skills
- Multi-tasking skills are critical
- Strong online research abilities
- Must be very organized, fast, and efficient
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Quality work, detailed and accurate
- Microsoft Office and QuickBooks knowledge
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A.
