*Job Overview*
Our firm is seeking an experienced probate and estate planning paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to attorneys, maintain organized legal files, and conduct legal research.
*Duties*
- Assist attorneys in working probate files beginning to end independently with attorney guidance and supervision
-Notarize client documents and act as notary or witness as needed in will signings
-Lead will signings if needed
-Draft estate planning documents as needed. Knowledge of lawgic software is a plus but training will also be provided.
- Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Be a team player and work with priorities in mind and deadlines in mind
- Transcribe legal proceedings and correspondence accurately
- Provide administrative support to attorneys including scheduling, file organization, and client communication
*Requirements*
- Proficiency in clerical tasks within a legal setting
- Knowledge of legal research tools like westlaw forms builder
- Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail
- Ability to transcribe accurately and efficiently
- Experience providing executive administrative support is a plus
- Project management skills are beneficial for handling multiple tasks efficiently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
