Sr. Communications Specialist
As a Senior Communications Specialist, you will play an important role in shaping and driving effective internal communications that foster goal alignment, employee and community engagement, and a connected culture.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the Director of Internal Communications and key stakeholders from across the organization to develop and execute comprehensive internal communications plans that align with the company’s business objectives and strategic initiatives. They will also support the Employee Events Committee, managing all communications and events, including community activities, for both on-site and virtual associates.
The Senior Communications Specialist is critical to the success of achieving our Enterprise Priorities, as Cinch Home Services seeks to be the preeminent player in the home services industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging and informative content for various internal communication channels, including newsletter, intranet, emails, digital walls, PC pop-ups, presentations, and social media.
- Manage channels to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery of information.
- Work with key company stakeholders on plans and projects, managing deadlines and timelines
- Point person for generating content and associated approvals for various communications, including weekly business update, digital wall content, and associate recognition
- Support the social media team with regular employee event content
- Upload of news, communication and other material to Cinch Portal, Cinch Connect, and PC pop-ups and
- Support and logistics for company events such as Town Hall, employee giveaways, contests and other
- Manage communications calendar
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Requisite Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree minimum, advanced degree in Marketing and/or Communication a plus
- 5+ years of experience in combined communications, public relations, social media and/or related fields
- Possess a high-level understanding of techniques, strategies and tactics for using a variety of internal, external and social media communications channels
- Superior PowerPoint skills and intermediate graphic design skills
- Proven track record of writing internal and external communication; employee newsletter experience preferred
- Event planning and logistics experience a plus
- Understanding of the integration of marketing, communications and digital media functions in business
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Canva
- Understanding of employee communications software, a plus (i.e., Poppulo, Staffbase)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently, manage competing needs and requests, and shift attention quickly to meet urgent deadlines a must
- Comfortable working with senior leaders
- Enjoys building relationships and collaborating with different roles and personalities in the organization who are collectively working towards the same objectives
