DescriptionCHI Franciscan Rehabilitation Hospital 60-bed inpatient Rehab hospital to serve patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The hospital is a joint venture partnership between CHI Franciscan Health and Kindred Healthcare and located in Tacoma, Washington.
As an Speech & Language Pathologist your responsibilities will include:

Direct application of speech / language pathology treatment modalities

Evaluating, planning, directing and treating patients referred for speech / language treatment

Participating in interdisciplinary activities such as performance improvement projects, infection control and safety programs, team meetings and conferences, etc.

Providing instruction and education to patients' family members and other caregivers as well as to other members of the inter-disciplinary team

Documenting patient care in accordance with hospital, regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements

QualificationsOur PRN rate is $50 per hour.
As a Speech and Language Pathologist you will need to have:

Current Washington State Licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist

Master's Degree from an accredited speech and language pathology program

Minimum of six months speech and language pathology experience preferred - Past Clinical Fellowship

Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification

Strong organizational, teamwork and communication skills
